Tecan Scientific Advisory Panels 2008

Tecan is proud to announce the members of its 2008 Life Science Advisory Panels. The Tecan advisory panels provide a unique opportunity for Tecan to work with a variety of leading scientific experts to exploring future possibilities for technology and automation in a common area of interest. This year’s panel discussions will be focusing on the areas of bio-therapeutics, stem cells, and regenerative medicine. Together, Tecan and the Advisory Panel will discuss how these fields will develop over the next five years and what Tecan can contribute to the development of these fields.

This year, the panel will meet following the 2008 Tecan Scientific Symposium. The symposium will offer two days of scientific talks in the area of “Biologics” with an emphasis on the fields of bio-therapeutics, stem cells, and regenerative medicine. The discussions will be organized into two separate panels: One will focus on the more traditional bio-therapeutic areas and the second on the emerging opportunities offered by stem cells and regenerative medicine. Both panels will cover the opportunities and needs spanning from R&D through to manufacturing and investigating areas where Tecan can leverage the combined expertise offered from all of its businesses; including automation, liquid handling, detection, and sample management.
